Applications Please note the following deadlines for filing applications for admission: For undergraduate programs: Applications can be made online or with paper applications. For more information, go to http://www.ucop.edu/pathways For graduate programs: Applicants to the graduate program should note that the Department will make its recommendations on admission applications immediately following the admission application deadline. For this reason it is important that all parts of the student's application, including all college level transcripts, three letters of recommendation, and a writing sample must be received by the appropriate office by the deadline. Letters of recommendation should be sent electronically according to the directions in the application. The writing sample should be approximately 20 pages for applicants to Near Eastern Studies or Near Eastern Religions. Writing sample and transcripts should be mailed directly to the department. Late-arriving GRE (or TOEFL) test scores may place the applicant at a disadvantage. Graduate Applications are also available on the World Wide Web at Graduate Assistant Frequently asked Questions on Admissions
